FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can post a job here?
ExecutiveDirectorJobs.org is exclusively for mission-driven nonprofits. That includes community organizations, human services, arts and cultural nonprofits, advocacy groups, foundations, churches, historical societies, and similar organizations.

What kinds of jobs are listed?
We focus only on Executive Director and CEO-level positions. You won’t find internships, entry-level roles, or unrelated management jobs. This is a leadership-only space.

Do you list jobs from government, schools, or hospitals?
Generally, no. We do not list roles from:

  • Government agencies
  • K–12 schools, colleges, or universities
  • Large hospital systems or health networks
  • For-profit companies (including social enterprises)

Our focus is on community-serving nonprofits. That means we may include smaller, mission-driven organizations such as community clinics or health centers that operate more like nonprofits than large institutions.

Do job seekers have to pay to view jobs?
Absolutely not. All job listings are free to browse. We believe candidates should never be charged just to see opportunities. Our revenue comes from organizations that pay to post jobs and optional services we provide to employers.

Please sign-up with a free account to view all job listings.

How do you verify organizations?
Every posting is reviewed by a real person before it goes live. We reserve the right to decline listings that don’t meet our criteria. This ensures the board remains trusted and focused.

How long do jobs stay posted?
Standard job postings run for 60 days. Employers can choose extended posting options or upgrades (like featured placement) for added visibility.

Do you offer services beyond job postings?
Yes. We offer resume reviews, job description consulting, and recruitment support to help nonprofits hire the right leader. These services are optional add-ons designed to save time and improve hiring results.

How do I apply for a job?
Each job includes a link that takes you directly to the organization’s official application page or email. We don’t accept or forward applications ourselves — everything goes straight to the hiring nonprofit.
