Mary’s Pence invests in women across the United States, Mexico, and Central America by funding community initiatives and fostering collaborations that create social change. With an annual budget of roughly $900,000 and a mission rooted in social and economic justice, the organization supports women-led grassroots efforts in the U.S. and partners with rural women’s groups in Central America and Mexico through its ESPERA program.

The Role

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive, leading strategy, fundraising, and operations while cultivating mission-aligned partnerships. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the ED ensures financial stewardship, effective programs (including grants and ESPERA), and a healthy, inclusive organizational culture.

What They’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of nonprofit leadership experience, including program oversight, fundraising, administration, and board engagement. Proficiency in Spanish is required. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred (or commensurate experience). Strengths in donor relations, grant development, budgeting, staff supervision, international partnership management, and justice-focused communications are essential. A passion for women’s empowerment and long-term systemic change is required.

  • Salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 + generous health and dental insurance, vacation package, 19 paid holidays, and Simple IRA with 3% match
