The Family Justice Center is a nonprofit public-private partnership that provides holistic, trauma-informed services for survivors of interpersonal violence (domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking). With five thriving locations across Contra Costa and Solano Counties, the Center coordinates an $8.2M operation with 55+ staff and 80+ partner organizations. Its one-stop co-location model connects survivors to crisis support, long-term safety and self-sufficiency, and community education, serving thousands each year.
The Executive Director will lead the organization into its next chapter, working with a united 17-member Board and a high-performing staff team. The ED is responsible for vision, strategy, fundraising, and organizational culture. Key priorities include strengthening infrastructure, diversifying funding, advocating for survivors at local and state levels, and building trust-based partnerships across counties.
The ideal candidate has 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, government, or social impact settings, with a deep commitment to justice, equity, and survivor-centered care. Strong skills in fundraising (government, corporate, and donor), financial management, and staff leadership are essential. A relevant post-graduate degree (JD, MSW, or similar) is preferred. Direct experience in the IPV field, trauma-informed systems of care, and stakeholder engagement with law enforcement and community agencies is highly desirable.
