Interfaith Assistance Ministry (IAM) is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting community members in crisis with food, clothing, and financial support delivered with compassion and respect. Serving 1 in 9 Henderson County households, IAM partners with congregations, nonprofits, businesses, and civic groups to prevent homelessness, reduce hardship, and preserve dignity. With 28 staff, 24,000 volunteer hours annually, and an annual budget of ~$2 million, IAM plays a central role in supporting neighbors in need.
The Executive Director will serve as IAM’s chief executive, responsible for strategy, fundraising, operations, financial management, and community engagement. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the ED ensures IAM’s financial stability, strong staff culture, and delivery of high-quality crisis services while maintaining its visibility and reputation in Henderson County.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of senior nonprofit leadership experience, with strong skills in administration, fundraising, board relations, and financial management. A proven ability to grow and diversify funding streams, inspire teams, and build community relationships is essential. Advanced degree and bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred but not required. Emotional intelligence, servant leadership, and a passion for IAM’s mission are musts.
