Longmont Humane Society (LHS) is a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to providing shelter, care, and advocacy for companion animals in need. Serving Boulder County and surrounding communities, LHS operates an animal shelter and a low-cost veterinary clinic, while promoting humane education and community partnerships to advance animal welfare.
The Executive Director will serve as the chief executive, responsible for overall leadership, fundraising, financial oversight, and operations. Working in partnership with the Board of Directors, the ED ensures organizational growth, program excellence, and continued impact in animal welfare and community engagement.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of nonprofit leadership experience, preferably in animal welfare or rescue. Strong skills in fundraising, operations, finance, and community engagement are essential. A bachelor’s degree is required (master’s preferred); CAWA certification is a plus. A deep passion for animal welfare and advocacy is required.
