Marys River Watershed Council (MRWC) is a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring and supporting voluntary stewardship of the Marys River watershed. Since 1996, MRWC has partnered with landowners, agencies, and community members to implement restoration, monitoring, and education programs that improve watershed health. The organization is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of its work.
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive, leading strategy, financial management, operations, fundraising, and partnerships. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED oversees staff, restoration projects, public engagement, and collaborations while ensuring MRWC’s mission is achieved.
The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of leadership experience in nonprofit or natural resource management—or equivalent education and lived experience. Strong skills in financial management, grant writing, project oversight, fundraising, and community engagement are essential. Knowledge of Pacific Northwest ecology, particularly the Willamette Valley, is highly desired. A passion for watershed health, equity, and collaborative conservation is required.
