Otsego Land Trust (OLT) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting and conserving local forests, waters, fields, and farms in perpetuity while promoting public access to nature. Founded in 1987, OLT has protected more than 11,000 acres across Otsego County and neighboring counties, advancing climate resilience and improving quality of life in the Upper Susquehanna Watershed. The organization also manages six public access sites that provide opportunities for hiking, paddling, birding, fishing, restoration, and research.
The Executive Director will serve as the chief executive, responsible for strategic growth, fundraising, financial oversight, and organizational leadership. Working closely with the Board of Directors and staff, the ED will strengthen donor relationships, expand conservation impact, and position OLT for continued growth as it approaches its 40th anniversary in 2027.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of senior leadership experience, with knowledge of and passion for land trusts, conservation, or preservation. Strong skills in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, financial management, and board relations are essential. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and visionary leader who can inspire staff, build partnerships, and sustain OLT’s growth trajectory.
