The Summer Mathematics Programs Consortium is a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing math enrichment opportunities for middle and high school students across the United States. By uniting over 30+ summer math programs, the Consortium strengthens collaboration, expands access, and builds shared resources that support math-loving students, teachers, and educators.
The Executive Director will be the Consortium’s first full-time leader, responsible for building the organization’s infrastructure, implementing its strategic plan, and serving as the public face of the math enrichment ecosystem. Working closely with an engaged Board of Directors and active volunteer committees, the ED will oversee strategy, fundraising, and operations—transitioning the Consortium from a volunteer-led effort to a sustainable, professionally staffed nonprofit.
The ideal candidate has proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, education, or a related field, with strong skills in fundraising, organizational development, and community engagement. Experience leading teams of volunteers and coordinating multiple projects is essential. A background or passion for mathematics education or enrichment is highly preferred.
