The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden Cancer Support Center provides holistic, integrative therapeutic services, programs, and classes to adults facing cancer, their caregivers, and those who are bereaved. Located on two serene acres in Harvard, MA, the Healing Garden serves clients across Massachusetts through both in-person and virtual programming, regardless of gender, cancer type, or stage.
The Executive Director will serve as the chief executive, responsible for fundraising, donor relations, operations, and community partnerships. Working closely with the Board of Trustees and staff, the ED will ensure financial sustainability, program excellence, and organizational growth while advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
The ideal candidate is a proven fundraising professional with at least 5 years of nonprofit management experience. Strong skills in major gifts, grants, donor stewardship, and board engagement are essential. A Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s preferred). Compassionate, mission-driven leadership and excellent communication skills are required.
