Washington Food Coalition (WFC) is the statewide association of more than 300 hunger relief organizations, including food banks, pantries, and meal programs. WFC provides advocacy, training, technical assistance, and peer-to-peer mentoring to strengthen Washington’s hunger relief network and ensure high-quality services in every community.
The Executive Director will serve as the chief executive, overseeing organizational strategy, fundraising, member engagement, and advocacy. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the ED ensures that WFC remains a strong, collaborative voice for its members and adapts to the evolving anti-hunger sector. Responsibilities include staff and board leadership, financial management, fundraising, external partnerships, and serving as the public face of the organization.
The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of progressive nonprofit leadership experience, ideally in human services, food banking, or poverty-related organizations. Strong skills in fundraising, financial oversight, program management, and coalition-building are essential. A commitment to equity and inclusion, excellent communication skills, and a passion for ending hunger in Washington are required. Candidates must reside in Washington State.
Preferred qualifications include experience leading small teams, managing lean resources, working with state agencies, and established relationships in Washington’s nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.
