The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is one of the largest multidisciplinary arts institutions in the United States, offering award-winning theater, concerts, visual arts, and educational programming. The Role

The President & CEO serves as the chief executive, responsible for strategic vision, fundraising, organizational management, and community partnerships. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the CEO ensures financial sustainability, programmatic excellence, and inclusive engagement.

The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years of senior leadership experience in a complex arts, cultural, or nonprofit setting. Demonstrated success in fundraising, financial management, board relations, and strategic planning is essential. Strong cultural competence, proven ability to lead diverse teams, and a passion for the performing and visual arts are required.

Highlights

• Salary range: $275,000–$310,000 + comprehensive benefits (employer-paid health, 401(k) with contributions, PTO, insurance, relocation assistance).
• Reports to Board of Directors and manages a senior team (COO, CFO, CAO, Artistic Director, Education, Marketing, Galleries, and Production).
• Sector: Arts & Culture / Humanities / Education.
• Budget supported by earned revenue, donors, City of Arvada, and SCFD (regional cultural funding district).
• Leads a 50th anniversary season and implementation of a new 2025–2030 Strategic Plan focused on sustainability, facility upgrades, and community impact.
